All team members are employed by Via, there is no outsourced staff. Naturally, you will work closely with the Executive Housekeeper and receive hands-on support from the Operations Manager. Additionally, your predecessor in this role is still within the company. She has been promoted, and therefore we are looking for a new skilled and enthusiastic Front Office Manager, who looks forward to taking the lead of the Front Office operations and team!
Although lots of guidance and support is available, this is not a junior role, given the fact that we operate close to a 1000 beds in two buildings. At Via, head of departments are true examples to their team members and therefore they lead from the front. You share the company vision through clear communication and empower your team members to contribute to our mission, while nurturing an environment of growth. Sharing and receiving feedback is an important aspect of our culture and objective to celebrate success.
A work day includes:
- Support the team operationally on peak moments, assisting with check-in, check-out, answering guest queries etc.
- Train new team members as well as update the team about changes in procedures, new products to upsell, events to highlight etc.
- Ensure operational procedures and standards are up to date and followed up on.
- Administrative tasks such as shift closing, stock count, checking reports, end of month reporting etc.
- Organize team briefings and monthly Front Office meeting.
- Conducting performance reviews, which includes providing feedback and goal setting.
- Recruitment activities, including hiring and onboarding of new team members.
